Saadia Toor: Don’t anyone dare talk about how this man is a progressive. He is an outgoing president at the end of his second term. He actually has far more power now than he did ever before because he doesn’t need to worry about getting re-elected. So if he was really a wonderful man just caught in a system that didn’t let him express his inner goodness, he had no need to do this. None. Never mind all the other black and brown bodies he has wantonly targeted abroad, shrouded in secrecy and lies. More here.
