Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, a 39-year-old pediatrician and director of the pediatric residency program at the Hurley Medical Center in Flint, blew the whistle on Flint’s water crisis and was attacked for her findings. She persisted. She’s the daughter of Iraqi immigrants.
