Khury PS: Look at this headline. Even in their victimhood, the Muslims who were murdered in Chapel Hill “clashed” with their murderer; they’re somehow antagonists. This language is reserved for Muslim and Black murder victims. Between that and the US media being more interested in whether or not there was an alleged “parking dispute” between the murderer and his victims than the Islamophobia that was the setting for this killing, the US media coverage (and lack of it) is a crash course in American racism.
