The Japanese freelance journalist released Saturday after going missing in late March denied that his kidnappers were Taliban insurgents as claimed by Afghan security authorities. On his way back to Tokyo, where he says he was scheduled to arrive Monday night, Kosuke Tsuneoka, 41, said on his Twitter account his abductors were “a group of corrupt armed factions” in northeastern Afghanistan.
