“We live to survive” – that is what many say. In the 19th century, the Lakota people were among the most successful freedom fighters in the US. But their land was eventually stolen, their language forbidden to be taught in schools, and their freedom began to exist only on paper. This short documentary was filmed during the first week of August 2011 on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota, the official land of the Oglala Lakota Nation. Pls watch a story that’s hardly ever told.
