wonderful evening spent at eastman school of music with 3 bright young ladies. today’s peformances were by the community music school, so a bit uneven, but the baroque music mostly by henry purcell was lively and fun. the musicians were accompanied by the meryton assembly dancers and the kids got to join in at the end. prior to the concert we had coffee and hot chocolate at java’s. a woman complemented me on my beautiful girls. are u all related she asked? no, but we’re from the same part of the world, i said. iraq, pakistan – not so close geographically, but here in the US is all seems incredibly familiar 🙂
