From Steven Salaita

Steven Salaita: My periodic reminder that if the political movement you champion requires Black people, Natives, Palestinians, Kashmiris, queers, migrants, refugees, or any other disenfranchised group to defer their liberation or rely on the goodwill of the system to solve their problems, then it’s especially immoral to demand silence or compliance from the victims of disenfranchisement.

To be more specific, some of the folks who are finally expressing disappointment about Bernie Sanders need to think long and hard about their new attachment to Tulsi Gabbard. In the meantime, anyway, please at least have the decency not to insult and discipline those uninterested in excusing or overlooking her Zionism, Islamophobia, and contempt for the impoverished.
