Jeffrey St Clair: Recall that since the Charlie Hebdo attacks France has instituted draconian anti-terror laws abridging civil liberties, laws that are far more intrusive than the Patriot Act. France has also escalated its military operations in the Middle East, especially Syria. They’ve done nothing to stem terror attacks. Presumably this won’t be “the lesson” that both Hillary and Trump ask us to learn from this deplorable attack.
